Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet Lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Rolling Pin For rolling out the dough
  • 1 Large Bowl For mixing the filling

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 lb Pizza Dough Store-bought or homemade

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Chopped
  • 2 cups Spinach Fresh
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1/2 cup Olives Sliced

Cheese

  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese Can substitute with cottage cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded

Sauce

  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce For dipping

Herbs and Spices

  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Dried
  • 1 teaspoon Basil Dried

Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.

Gather Your Ingredients

  • Chop up your fresh vegetables: bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, and olives. Have your mozzarella and ricotta cheese ready.

Make the Filling

  • In a large bowl, combine chopped vegetables with mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Season with oregano, basil, and garlic powder.

Roll Out the Dough

  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.

Add the Filling

  • Spread the vegetable and cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch around the edges.

Roll It Up

  • Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough over the filling. Tuck in the sides as you go and pinch the seams to seal it tightly.

Prepare for Baking

  • Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Bake

  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cool and Slice

  • Let the stromboli cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve

  • Enjoy warm, paired with marinara sauce for dipping.
